Partner Adrienne Waters Ogle Named to the Gatlinburg, Pigeon Forge Airport Authority Board of Directors

On June 4th, 2019, the Gatlinburg City Commission voted unanimously to appoint Adrienne Waters Ogle to the Gatlinburg, Pigeon Forge Airport Authority Board of Directors hereinafter "Airport Authority Board." The appointment follows the decision by longtime board member Attorney Jerry McCarter to step down at this time. Ms. Ogle will serve the remainder of Mr. McCarter's term which expires in 2022. The Airport Authority manages the Gatlinburg/Pigeon Forge Airport. The Airport Authority Board consists of five members each appointed to a five-year term. Board members do not receive compensation for their service. The Airport Authority Board meets at 5:00 p.m. on the fourth Monday of every month. The meetings are open to the public.

"I am honored to have been named to the board." Ogle said. "I hope to use my experience to offer a perspective on litigation and regulation that can benefit the board's deliberations. The manager, Emily Haun, has done an excellent job developing and growing the airport. I am excited to play a small role in helping the airport continue to grow and meet the needs of our residents and those visiting our area."

Ms. Ogle is a Gatlinburg native and received her Juris Doctorate from the University of Tennessee College of Law in 2008. She is a founding partner of the law firm Green, Waters Ogle and McCarter. Ms. Ogle was recognized as a Mid-South Super Lawyer Rising Star in 2018. In 2018, she was also named one of the "Top 40 Under 40" civil litigators in Tennessee by the National Trial Lawyers Association. In 2015, she became the first female in Sevier County to be named "Best Lawyer" in the Mountain Press Reader's Choice Awards. Ms. Ogle is a frequent guest lecturer for Continuing Legal Education courses offered by the National Business Institute. Ms. Ogle also serves as the Sevier County Juvenile Magistrate and sits on the bench to hear juvenile cases several days a month. She is a member of the Tennessee Council of Family Court Judges and is a board member of the Sevier County Coalition for Addiction Recovery and Educational Services. She also serves on the Children's Ministry Committee for the First Baptist Church of Gatlinburg. Ms. Ogle currently resides in Gatlinburg with her husband and their two daughters.
